What is an ARB approved contractor  (Arb AC)?

Do I need permission for work on my tree?

 You may contact the Local Planning Aurthority(LPA) yourself or we can act as agents for you. A Tree Preservation Order (TPO) can be placed on any tree. Permission needs to be granted following application. Any work to a tree in a Conservation Area will need application and permission granted which may take 6 weeks to process. Any tree work done without any relevant permission may result in heavy fines.

Will trees damage my property?

If a house is founded upon a shrinkable clay soil, then trees may cause or add to movement damage. Trees close to drains and sewers etc. may cause 'direct' damage if very close. At a greater distance it is common for tree roots to enter a pipe via an existing hole / gap and then to cause a blockage once the roots multiply.
